Default Scrambler 500 4x4 electric help

Hello all.

First of all, new member here. My name is Dennis. I am originally from Holland but I live/farm in Portugal now.

The other day I bought a 2003 Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4. Wiring was all butchered.

I fixed all the cut/joined and taped together wires. Bike runs good. But there is an on/off switch hooked in with a pinkish and a purple wire that I can't seem to understand what it should do. Does anyone have a wire diagram for one of these machines?

I bought the bike cheap but I already spent more on it than the initial cost. New rear tires, chain and sprocket. Mono shock, battery and starter solenoid. Intake elbow to the carburettor. Replaced oils. Front left hub didn't have any oil in it. So replaced seals and bearings in that one and replaced the cv joint dust cover. Have the body plastics at the painter. Welded the frame in several places. Love the bike still though.

Thanks for any help. Dennis

Here's a cheap $5 service manual as it looks like you need it very badly.. Has the wiring schematic that should help you figure out the mess you have.2003 Polaris Scrambler 500 Service Manual PDF Download Times like this is where a new/used wiring harness could possibly save you some headaches.
