He told me to pull the engine split the case and change all gaskets and seal in the crank case. How would that help compression and should I try that?
oh geez....

Jack, I wondered why so many parts were going missing, you dog !! I guess I am still in snowmobile mode, lots of older ones had a center crank seal, and in a TWIN cylinder, a bad crank seal will leak to the other side and cause all sorts of problems, On the LT80, the crank seal would suck air and make it run like crap, but shouldn't affect compression. I was hoping you would chime in on this post, seeing that he is getting low compression with the old piston and new was odd, unless the cylinder is worn that bad and he got a stock size piston that is as loose as the old one.

and on the other subject, only ONE Chinese motor has made it into my garage, and its not actually a quad, its a Sun L Snowfox, like a mini snowmobile that I'm attempting to fix for my grand daughter, but, don't write me off yet, I also have an LT80 I'm going to be fixing up for her as well, there's hope for me yet......

OK, why would a seal effect comp?
I know. I'm still trying to learn how the forum works and I see a lot of your post in kids quads so I just threw it up over there too.

But I saw in the other post how OPT showed how a crank seal DOES affect compression......so there, Jack......lol.
