diagnostic tools for EFI quads
#1
Well, now that EFI machines have been out for quite a while, I am interested in experiences with scan tools, like the Zeus MST-500. There are others, too, including whatever is pushed by the OEM, or even proprietary units.
I do not have such a tool yet, but I have 2 quads presently which I would like to scan: a working project BRP Rotax 400 EFI engine, and my current personal-use ATV, a Kymco 450i.
In the latter case, the manual refers to an OEM diagnostic tool, but also provides data on how to get trouble codes by counting blinks of the check-engine light (aka the MIL, in auto land). I would also like to monitor some outputs, and maybe change the idle speed.
