Default fuel spitting out the vent on the primer

Hello, I have just purchased a 1988 Suzuki lt 125(?) I can get it running easy enough and it will continue running well. \the issue, like the title says, is that the vent on the primer on the carb (Mikuni) is spitting out fuel. If I cover the vent, the back pressure pushes the fuel out the rubber sleeve or seal arounf the primer button. If I could get a hand with this I will appreciate it greatly. Thank you in advance!!
