My 2020 Sportsman 450 will not start. The battery shows good and is charged with adequate water in it. When I put the key in and turn it to position 2 (ACC), the display comes on, but when I turn it to position 3 to start the engine, nothing happens - no sounds at all. I jumped the solenoid with the key in position 2, and it starts right up. The dealer said it was likely the key switch, so I replaced that and still have the same problem. I have searched and searched for possible answers, but have come up empty. Any help is appreciated.

 

Youve already diagnosed the problem its most likely the solenoid. If you have a multimeter you can test the trigger terminals for the solenoid. Put the multimeter on continuity test the terminals. If you get a tone your good no tone no good.
