Default Trailer height vs. Ramp angle - ooops!! Ouch!!

Well...lol...not really.... I have a DS650, close enough to 500pds, and a few other quads. Luckily I'm in the gym alot, so it's not a big deal. Years ago I had a LT500, that was a pain to get in my lifted toyota...had to push the front tires over the wheel wells!!!

I've always had a fear of the ramps coming out from underneath me while loading (alleviated that with chains hooked to the ramps and bed of the truck) or having the atv pop a wheelie at the top. So far so good. Especially considering I'm using a 77" tri-fold ramp to get the quads in and out of a 3/4 chevy w/ 4" lift & 35s! Talk about steep! I usually find a deep ditch to back into.... but all this talk about an electric winch in the bed has me thinking! It'd be great peace of mind for $50..... good idea, guys! Keep it safe!

Russ, Using a winch has definately made it safer when I load my atvs on the rack I built for the bed of my truck. With out it, we used to push them up, took 4 of us. Didn't have the nerve to try and ride them up.
