I have been looking at that option as well. I live, regretfully, in camping heaven, so even a 75 motorhome will pull $4000

Keep in mind that a lot of motorhomes are not rated to tow very much. We looked at Class C motorhomes when we were looking at toyhaulers, and a four ATV tailer could easily exceed the tow rating of several of the Class C motorhomes we looked at. Just so you don't end up buying a used motorhome, and then buying a different used motorhome that has a higher tow rating a year later, I would think you would want a tow rating of about 7,000 lbs., just to play it safe. That tow rating really limits your choice of budget motorhomes.

On the bright side though, ... a 39' Fun Mover has a tow rating of 60,000 lbs. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img], and it only cost $285,000 for the base model. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

Say WHAT? 60,000lb towing? Umm, unless it's a Kenworth, Frieghtliner, etc. conventional it's not going to tow 60,000lbs! I'd like to see the size of the ball that's required. Though you could run a pintle up probably close to that. You're talking about the 39' one that's built on the F750 chassis right? I don't think the stock F-750 chassis is even rated to tow anywhere close to that. Ok, I found it. The GCWR is 60,000lb. Not the towing capacity. Real world towing max is around 30,000lbs. Granted....that's not a little amount. But 1/2 the 60,000lbs you noted. However, the hitch is only rated for towing 10,000lb.

carson trailers are on the cheap side, and from what i've seen they are not all that bad, but don't always have the same quality as somew of the nicer units. i think one of thier 20' models would do what you want easily... for a little over $12K new. do a search for 'carson trailers', maybe they have a dealer near you.
i've seen an occasional toybox trailer used but not often, they're relatively new to the RV market & a hot ticket still.
one thing a some people are also doing is taking an enclosed trailer & making it fit thier needs- adding microwave, generator, TV/dvd/ps2, portable toilet, bunks or air mattresses, etc... most of it folds up & gets out of the way for the toys to be in there.

My mistake. I know I have seen that 60,000 lb towing capacity somewhere though. There is another toyhauler style motor coach that is built on a Freightliner chassis, I believe, and I think it is the one that has a 60,000 lb. towing capacity. It is built in Idaho Falls, only I can't remember the name of it. And it is only in the mid $300K range, so a relative bargain, LOL.

I know I've seen a stretched out Freighliner at Pismo. The guy has a parasale/ultralight thing winched up on the back of it. Probably a 30'+ unit.
