Default 4x6 trailer.

Has anyone pulled a TB 250 (400 or scrambler, same size) with a 4x6 tilt trailer. I measured my TB 250 and it would be okay on the width, but the length is right at the line. My quistion is will the back wheels make it up on the trailer before it lowers. I dont want the trailer to lower before all the atv is on it. It's only $375 for the tilt and $499 for the one with the gate. I like the gate. But cant afford it right now. So any thoughts would be appreciated.

we had a 4x8 tilt trailer for several years and you could pull a atv all the way up the get off and hop on the front to tilt the trailer back down...

I agree that you should save your money and buy a 5x8. I bought my 5x8 at Lowes for about $500. You never know what's around the corner. You might buy a larger quad later or need the extra room for other things. My gate swings down to be a ramp. It locks up with a couple "L" shaped rods. I attached a couple small chains from the gate to the rods. So the rods don't get lost or stolen.

Yep. I took another look at the tilt and decided that although it might work, it wouldn't work well. There is a lowes here in town. But they want like $625 for there 5x8. For $499 I can get there 4x6, all with gates and new tires. There is a trailer building place also. But there wanting close to $700 for a 5x8 with wooden bottom and used reguler size tires. Dang, trailers or high dollar. I'm going buy home depot today to check out there $$$$

Try searching the yellow pages for places that make/sell trailers, we payed 300.00 for our 4x8 tilt trailer new which was made locally then we traded it at the same place for a used dual axel 16' wood floor trailer with ramps last year for $300.00.. The ones that Lowes and Home Depot sold were several hunderd more than those local places that make them..

Just got back from home depot. Dang and I thought lowes was outragious. Anyway I went to trailer world and there making me a 5x8 with a swivel jack and extended tounge. You see I will be towing with my tailgate down and in turns it would hit (maybe) the trailer. So they suggested a longer tounge and to move the jack back a little. They seemed to know what they was doing. And kept the price the same even with the changes. $575 plus tax.
