I kinda have to laugh when they compare it to an F-350. That thing is a Class 7 truck! We're talking F-750. Yeah it's tall...so are the 650/750. But it is cool. Hmm...looks like an F-350 DRW bed.
That motor seems kinda low on the power numbers. Maybe it's deturned. The Cat in the Ford 650/750 is like 300HP/800LBFT from 7.2L. Though Cat makes a 900LBFT version of the 3126B. They barely made the GVWR for Class C but the air brakes push it to Class B w/Air Brakes (in California).

that number is correct, they are running the regular 444, or 466 series detriot turbo diesel engines, thats the exact engine in all international school buses, im sorry to say if they pull anything like the busses, people will not be impressed, they are not quick

It really leaves the door open to improvement for future model years (and also raise the price).

I used to drive a 10 wheel International dump truck with that DT 466 engine in it, and I thought that it pulled like a freight train. I remember one time getting an overweight ticket for being more than 100,000 lbs overweight. We were working in a very very rural small town in UT, hauling gravel for roadbase, and I decided to load the truck as heaping full as I could possibly get it, AND hook up the lowboy trailer to the truck, and haul the Cat 955 loader back with me on the last load. The truck was licensed for 53,000 lbs, and the scales the Highway Patrol had with him read 156,000 lbs. You don't even what to know what that ticket would have cost. It was a long time ago, but I think it was something like 50 cents per pound that you were overweight. My boss went and talked to the judge in person, and the ticket was thrown out, but with a very very stern warning to the driver .
If that truck has the same 466 engine that our ten wheel dump truck had in it, then it should easily out pull any one ton pickup truck you care to match it up against, irregardless of what the "ratings" say. It looks like one cool truck to me. Too bad I can't afford one, it would be a hoot to park that in the parking lot at work each day as your daily driver, LOL.

I agree with OuterLimit. I visited my local International dealer in Dallas,TX (The truck is built here in Garland,TX) I test drove the CXT and I can say for sure it is a serious truck. No one should assume anything about this rig until they climb into the cab and take a ride. I've driven everything from big dump trucks to 18 wheelers and this truck can hold it's own with the best of them. Sure it has a lot of bling but its also an awesome truck. Built on the severe service heavy duty 7300 chassis with a cab that sits higher than most long haul tractors, its a site to see. The bed height makes it a bit impractical for some contractors but it will haul and dump 6 tons of whatever you want to carry! Don't be fooled by the 220hp and 540 ft/lbs of torque, most people don't understand that this is not an average pickup truck engine, it holds 5 gallons of oil! The DT466 engine is meant to work and output that 540 torque all day and every day for years with 500,000 miles before overhaul. I challenge any C3500, F350 or Ram3500 to match that performance. It is also available with the DT570 and as high as 300hp and 1000 ft/lbs of torque. It might cost 3 times as much as a heavy duty pickup but it will last 3 times as long. This is a prime example of "don't judge a book by it's cover"!
