Default Need sugestions on add on tie down/strap holds for Triton trailer

I just picked up my new Triton XT10 trailer. Awsome trailer! Need some sugestions on what you guys are using for "add on" strap hold downs. Triton has optional flush and recessed style ones they sell, has anyone tried those? Thanks, Jeff

That would be a great hold down to install. I use them in my enclosed snowmobile trailer, and on the trailer we use to tow my Legends Car with, and they work excellent. The only thing I suggest is to put in a bigger backing plate under the floor where you mount them, to make them more rigid and relieve some stress on the floor.

Heavy recessed D-rings are the way to go on that trailer.

You can see in my profile, i built a custom hold down for my sportsman. It's a 1 7/8" hitch and ball connection, works great. My profile pics i was going on a 11 hour drive, so i added ALOT of extra straps! You can never have too many!

I went with the heavy recess "D" rings. Small/compact, and strong. I also used an small aluminum plate between those, and the wood deck on both the top and bottom for better reinforcement. Thanks, jeff

look at the working weight strength of the strap not the max strength. alot of people get in trouble that way. as long as the load is smaller than the working weight you'll have no problems. personaly i like to have a strap on all 4 corners

SORRY i had a brain fart lol which ever way you go i would put a piece of flat metal on the back side to help prevent them from pulling out in case something is heaver than thought (happens to everyone at least once).
