Rapto.....If you have a Tractor Supply in your area I would recommend looking at them first. Their trailers are the same and much cheaper. A few years back I picked up a 5x8 for what Lowes wanted for a 4x6. The only problem with the cheapo trailers is the expanded metal floor. The companies use cheap thin material that will warp and look like crap. I also recommend a Bearing Buddy or similar device to keep the hubs lubed on the cheaper trailers, they pay for themselves in the ease to grease the hub bearings. The trailer I bought held up for 5,000+ miles. Shop around and look for your best deal!

I know the ones I looked at recently at Lowe's were "el cheapo" - you could flex the whole trailer just by stepping on it lightly and half of their stock appeared to be permanently warped. They were very expensive for the size/quality as well.

I purchased a used 6X12 trailer that has been excellant. It's well made the very sturdy. The guy always garaged it also
You might want to try that route.

I bought a 5x8, tilt bed, w/a steel floor and 12" wheels for $495. Full retail was $800, "Fleet Farm" price (midwest place like Home Depot) was $700, sale price was $600 and clearance price was $500. I jumped on it. Look around, you'll find something that will work for you and at a price you can afford.

I have a wood floor 14' tandum axle trailer, w/electric brakes on both axles, built in ramps and a brake controller I want to sell. Gross weight 7,500#. Trailer weight 1,000#. Trails nice. Almost new, about 3K miles. Depending upon where you live, delivery possible. Contact me direct if you are interested. jhjacobson@san.rr.com
