Default Warn 2.5 Winch problems!

When I bought my '05 Wolverine in December, I bought it with a Warn 2.5 (2500lb) winch on it. Last week, I noticed when I tried to press the 'Out' button on my handlebars, the winch wouldn't let the line out. Today, I cleaned the winch and the line, and then tried to press 'In', and the winch wouldnt retract? Is my winch fried or whatever happens to winches? How could this be fixed? I really need an answer soon, because having 50ft on winch wire wrapped around a winch cage on front of my ATV isnt a good thing. If its completely screwed, is there a way I can at least roll the line back up?

If it's new send it to WARN for repair.

Check to make sure the free-spool lock on the side is fully engaged. If it isn't it will roll either way but not lock to spool in the line.
