I have a 2001 v10 4x4 SC that's been awesome at everything but passing a gas station. Mine has the steeper gears and pulls under 10K lbs as good as any but it's thirsty, 12 in town, 14 @ a constant 70, 11 @ a constant 85, 9 when pulling a 9K lb boat. My Dad has a new Dodge Cummins DRW 4x4 6 speed, it can pull very heavy loads better than mine. Under 10K lbs though, mine rides better around town and when towing.

Just turned over 90K miles and it doesn't burn a drop of oil. My Ford extended warranty just covered about $1200 worth of suspension/drivetrain wear&tear items for a $50 deductible. Although I didn't get the original $1700 back from the extended warranty, it was nice to know that if something expensive (transmission, head, FI) broke, it wouldn't cut into my quad budget.

Good truck, I highly recommend it and Ford's Total Care warranty.

my 02 f-350 drw cc 4x4 psd auto is my 2nd, and I love it. 15-16 mpg empty, 11-12 loaded, and with 4:10 gears it'll pull anything I need to with ease. If I get really nuts about pulling something I'll break out the 2 1/2 ton military truck, 4x4 is nice, but 6x6 is 50% better!

The diesels can get pretty decent fuel mileage. The truck in my pics page has a full intake system, a full exhaust system and a chip and it'll get better mileage than my moms 2001 Monte Carlo SS w/ a 3.8 V6.......and that is with rollin' on 38s!

the 250's are great trucks....mine was a 00' 7.3 diesel with a lift, big tires, nice wheels, lariat, the works. too bad it got totalled by some girl that ran a red light guess it was about time for a duramax anyways!
