Good price? Good truck? F-350
#1
Looking at a 06 F-350 at the local dealer. They want just a tad over 43k. It's a 4-door lariat with leather, sunroof, and chrome pkg. It has a powerstroke, auto trans, and 4.30 gears. Good price? They have the bugs worked out on the 6.0 yet?

that is a swahweet truck and i see you are from SD if i was you i would call HANSEN ford in grand forks north dakota. thats where i bought my truck a lil over a year ago and they were pretty decent to work with they had the best price around. plus you can get all the accessories you want for cost. the dealer is huge and they have a very large inventory. and i dunno about the bugs on the 6.0 i know they have had their problems where the 7.3 has proven itself.

By California standards, that is an awesome price for that truck As far as the bugs worked out of the 6.0, I think they have Have a few friends witht them, and only one had problems and that was one of the first ones they built. FORD took care of the problem and he hasn't had problems since I say go for it

As rescue said, that would be an awesome price in CA. That truck is probably $50K here, at the least.
The 6.0 issues were related to some bad injectors. It's since been fixed.

Don't look like they'll give anything for my truck. I counter-offered but they said they'll think about it...it don't sound good. Maybe I'll try and sell my truck outright.

4:30 gears? you must be thinking of pulling a freight train around behinde you! I have 4:11 gears in my 02 and I can't imagine needing deeper gears. The price seems good, especially for a lariet, and yes most of the bugs are worked out of the 6.0, its still a egr motor, which seems to cause some consternation. The maint. costs are higher on the 6.0, but all the newer trucks are starting to get pricey so unless you find a f350 with a 7.3 with low miles (unlikley) go for it. Also you are always better these days to sell your used vehicle privately, and pay cash, dealers are VERY stingy with their money even for a clean unit, the used vehicle market is a glut. I'll sell my 02 when you know where freezes over!! By the way single rear wheels or duals?
