89 F150 XLT Lariat??
Last year I got an 89 F150 Lariat XLT long bed with only 69,000 original miles on it. It's the V8 but only has the 302 EFI.
I want to get a smaller enclosed trailer, 8x12 maybe, enough for two quads. Not a toy hauler just enclosed.
Anyone have any recommendations on getting a little more HP out of this engine? My last long trip I hauled my DS and Rincon up to Oregon, one in the back and one on one of those 5x8 home depot trailers and there were a few grades where it seemed to struggle a bit.
Any recommendations/advice would be great. I only paid 3K for the truck and other then replacing front brakes and scratching up the bed loading and unloading it's in excellent shape. I pretty much only use it for hauling quads and maybe an occasional dump run etc.....
How much of a difference would I notice if I went with a dual exhaust??
