Default suburban tow rating???

In the works trying to get a 91 Suburban C/K2500 with the overdrive trans and 4X4, I cant find the tow rating for nothing and nobody knows. It has the 14bolt rear end (with 3.73 gears I think) and I will try and buy a toyhauler next year but I just wondered if anybody might know how much I will be rated to pull(in stock trim, like that will last) Thanks for any help

Default suburban tow rating???

Don't know what the tow rating is, but before we picked up the dually, we pulled our 28' Funrunner with 7 quads and all our gear with a 3/4 ton suburban with a 350. We were at around 22000 lbs total.

I'm sure the weight police would howl, but we got where we were going and it would stop ok with the trailer brakes adjusted correctly.

Course, we only managed 35 going over snoqualmie pass, but what the heck, we got there!

Buddy had a Burb and tried towing a Toy Hauler. . . he finally stepped up to the Excursion with the 7.3L Turbo Diesel. If your going to anything but a super-light TH, I'ld look at the Excursion with the Diesel. You can feel comfortable towing 12k# with the Excursion. I wouldn't push a 350 that hard. Especially if you plan on going over any passes.

EFI, but I plan on getting rid of the TBI and going with the MPFI system from eddlebrock, or getting the GM performnce 572. Got to love 620HP and 650 Lbs of torque.
