Default Enclosed Trailers??

Are most trailers much smaller inside length/width then their "advertised" size? Just the generic trailers, not toy haulers. I just started looking and saw one maker's inside dimensions were like 2 1/2 feet shorter then the advertised length. 6x12=9.5x4.9 quite a difference.

Some measurements will be the "total" length and width.
Meaning......They are counting the tongue length and outside wheel well to wheel well.

Look for the actual measurements...

Example: My Interstate enclosed trailer is advertised as 8'(96") x24' (288")
Which is the actual inside measurements.
The Total outside measurement is 102" wide (the maximum legal width) x about 26' long (including tongue)

So just make sure to know which measurement you are looking at or asking for.

I don't think I've ever seen one advertised the way you describe in all the trailers I've looked at...
But I guess you never know.

Good Luck

Its what they call marketing gimmicks.. There is not standard other than what your tape measure tells you. 7 ft wide trailers may be a lot easier to tow than 8 ft ones because you can see around them easier. The only problem with that is you can't park 2 ATV's side by side in them. You can stack them on their rear bumper though.

Consider having a custom built and add extra height in them. Make sure if you do, that you also have a taller door in the rear added as well. Just in case you someday want to put a Rhino in the back.

Check out my pics for one that is 8ft tall inside.
