Honestly, I am guessing that the previous owner of the truck used it to haul something way to heavy. Since it's an automatic trans, they probably were towing a large trailer in overdrive which caused the transmission to shift a whole lot. Two scenarios that I can think of: 1 they knew the trans was going bad, so they traded the truck in, or 2 they didn't know it was bad and traded it in to get a more capable truck. Not knowing the history of the previous 50,000 miles you can't really make a statement about the quality of the vehicle. Anyway, I'm just guessing about what might have happened. I hope you can get it all worked out. Good luck!

im with ya toehanus i actually love my truck ive always loved dodges its just irritatting when a truck with that mileage has big issues.the title had the previouse owner it was a one owner and it was in vermont and it was owned by a guy that had a music shop it was under his company name. but he must have over loaded the truck big time its in excellant shape otherwise but i agree he must have known it was getting ready to go ive considered calling the music store to just ask a few things so i can have the dealer fix them before i get surprised
