Default carryon 4x6 trailer and a F-150

I have a ford F-150 2001 with just a bumper (no towing hitch) and I need to pull a 4x6 trailer (one of those lowes small type trailers I believe its an carry on brand) My bumper is 22 inches off the ground and the trailer level is only 11 inches off the ground. Thats makes for quite an unlevel looking trailer. The riding area is only 22 miles away but I was wondering if anyone has ever pulled one of these trailers with a f-150 old style non 4x4 truck. If I need to I can get a hitch kit and hook it up. The trailer belongs to a friend of ours and he pulls it with a dodge that has a towing package and all, so the trailer when he pulls it is alot more level. I just didnt want to be out the expence of having to buy a hitch kit but will do so to be on the side of safety if need be.

An 11" difference will make for a pretty extreme angle since it's such a short trailer. Since it's a single axel, your only problems should be the possibility of dragging the rear of the trailer and the fact that you will be nearing the twist ability of the ball hitch. Oh yeah, it will look pretty stupid going down the road too

Most likely nothing will happen but I'd invest in the hitch and a drop anyway. Who knows, someday you may wind up needing to pull a larger load and you'll want to get away from that bumper mount hitch anyway.
