Thanks, Actually the color didnt really come out right. Its electric blue but it was in the shade early this morning. I saw those inner tubs, just one more thing to add to the list. LOL! We ended up having to install the off set ball joint afterall. She pulls to the right so its back down there today. Cant wait to get it out on the road tomorrow night for our trip to florence.

Well, have fun. Do you ever get up to the Tillamook riding area, or East Fort Rock/Millican or Moro County ATV park?

looks great Scatterbrain! how did you come to choosing the dodge? I will be looking for a new Diesel around the first of the year I have a 2000 f350 that I love but it is a standerd cab and the fam is getting bigger so I need a 4 door. It looks like the extra cab on the dodge is alot smaller than the Ford,Chevy and I dont like the magacab because I need a long bed for work It would be way long. I do love the dodge and the price looks a little better.

Hay what am I thinking I wont be in the back.

Scatterbrain, yeah from your machines I figured you spent at least some of your time in the sand... I'm mostly a mountain trail kind of guy.

Pipelayer, I'm over 6' and I've had people my size ride behind me. Kids would be OK for longer trips, but adults back there would be a short trip only kind of deal. Personally I think not offering the Mega in a long box, or not offering a plain old crew cab/long box is the most bone-headed thing Dodge has ever done.

I was hoping they would offer the mega on the cab and chassis, maybe in the 4500/5500 series, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen either.

Yea I just looked at ford next to a Dodge today at the job and it is a big mistake by Dodge. But the price of the dodge reflects that.

Jed, Did you have them do the offset balljoint? There a bunch of different sizes I think mines a 1.5. Mines straight as an arrow now. Cost around 150.00 installed at Les Schwab.

Mileage is sucking a bit, I got 11.7 on the way home from the sand over the weekend. I was towing just my flat bed trailer and two bikes. I know it will get alot better when broke in. Cool thing was being able to stay @ 65mph all the way over highway 58 ( about a 25 mile hill) The exhaust brake works awsome, I dont think I touched the brakes at all going down that hill.

As far as the cab, It has slightly more room than my old chevy. The kids have enough room for now. I really liked the mega cab but I needed the long bed also for work.

No I have done that. I will check into it, thanks.

Its funny on the mileage. My 5.9 07' get terrible mileage. 13-14 dry!! But my 05' gets 16 pulling a 5000lb work trailer around, and our 93 get 19!
Who would have thought, you buy newer trucks the mileage gets worse!
