I cant believe that question was actually asked. You are responsible for anything that comes off of that trailer. Period. Including the paint. Or the truck for that matter. Get caught by DOT and you will be looking at fines costing more than your atv, and he wont let you move it one more inch until you strap it.

The short version of my 2001 story....

...me and a buddy heading back from a day's ride in North Alabama. We were on the rough as a cob interstate coming through Montgomery, AL when the trailer passed us. Actually came loose from the hitch and passed us in the median. We were able to get stopped about the same time that the State Trooper did. Only thing he had to say was "better be glad you boys had them thangs tied down". We were!

P.S. - No damage whastsoever to trailer or ATVs.</end quote></div>

I'll bet it cost you a new pair of underwear though. ;-)

I have the Steadymate Cinchtite 6 series that have a breaking strength of 5000lbs., better to be safe than sorry. Roads are real bad around here.

well last weekend was coming home from cutting fire wood ,I was driving my girlfriends truck and big trailer loaded with wood .and the girlfriend was driving my Blazer and trailer with my 325 Trail boss on it stapped down ,like I normally do ,
She lost control on a very Icey road and went down a 40' inclined imbankment and hit tree ,at about 20mph ,
trailer has 10" tall metal railing ,all said and done .ATV stayed on trailer and stayed strapped down did bend
the front railing .but if I had just let it sit onthe trailer with the E-brake it would have launched ,
