Default Protect trailer's underbelly???

Last fall at my cottage area, I bought a used 2016 6x12 enclosed trailer and while laying on my back on large plastic sheet, I upgraded its under floor with deck boards (between existing steel supports) and rust painted its under belly steel parts. Then, solid colour wood stained its exposed OSB wood. Towed it home on an dry day and its been parked / sitting beside my house since. Yes. Parked all summer due to Covid-19 restrictions. Sad Face.

Since I want to keep this trailer 8 more years then give to my son (for his future ownership), how do I further protect its underbelly even more? If wondering, I'm thinking of hand brushing Driveway Sealer on its previous rust painted & wood stained areas. re: Perhaps using https://www.homehardware.ca/en/5l-ac...=1525535420669

Do you think this product is a good idea? Or, should I use a different low cost product instead?

Within my north region, Bed Liner is way too expensive for my shallow wallet depth.

Looking for something that is affordable and high quality instead.

Since my above post, I finally finished DIY undercoating of my enclosed trailer.

re: 2 x coats on the main body and 3 coats behind each wheel (where more road crud is sprayed upwards).

For product and after results (using a 2" paint brush to push into cracks), see attachments.

Hope this helps others.

This product was bought at Home Hardware.CA store. Might be available from other sellers.

Good job! Jut bought a 6x10 earlier this year. At least the salesman was honest. Said the undercoating the factory uses is no more than spray paint. I'll have to look into the stuff you used.

If wondering, I bought 5 L jug and only used 4 L of it. I used a 2" paint brush to push the tar like liquid into the cracks as well.

Tips:
- Wear old "throw away" clothes and plastic bag shower cap -> from Dollar Store
- Wear "throw away" long sleeve shirt or spring time coat as well.
- Use drop sheets and wear clear eye glasses -> side protected clear safety glasses work best..
- I applied one area at a time. re: The rear area one day and its front area next day.
- I applied two coats + 3rd coat behind the wheels area
- Before slipping on rubber gloves, wipe hands with dish soap as well.

Note: No need to visit local gym for exercise. Simply do this exercise (for stomach crunches) instead. Smiles.

This worked for me... Hope it helps you as well...
