My Truck. How bout yours?

Picking up my new Brute Force with my 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0L.
Been a Ford man all my life. Worked for Utah State Parks and they have Fords, Chevys and Dodges. Drove all three.
The Chevy to me was the most comfortable to drive so I bought one. Took more crapp over buying a Chevrolet than I did switching from Honda to Kawasaki.
Great move on both accounts.
18 months and 40,000 miles later it's been a great truck.

Nice looking rig, and you took a high quality photo as well.

Well, Ive been an ATVConnection member for a (very) long time but its been a while since I have been here. So, hey!
Here's my tow rig. (although the 5th wheel has since been upgraded as well as the flatbed.. both longer!)
Its a 2003 F250 7.3.
Full turbo back exhaust, intake, full analog gauges as well as Bully Dog to monitor everything, and running a TS Performance 6 position chip.
She's up to about 160K miles, and is an absolute champ of a truck. That picture of the tandem tow on the beach (Pismo Beach in CA) was taken after a 600 mile one-way trip from our home in Prescott, Arizona. Truck did fantastic and will do it again this September.

Nice looking truck. I like the way you have it leveled.

Well, I just put about $4000 into my Dodge Cummins 06 5.9 turbo diesel. For that I serviced the Differentials, Transmission, transfer case, did a 4 wheel brake job, new AC compressor and a new set of tires all around (295x70x17) and replaced the entire exhaust with gale Banks 4 inch unit. The AC compressor has been the only thing that as gone bad in 9 years. Yep, Rumbles is a keeper. It has pulling power that I have not seen anything else match. And it has lasted the test of time.

Glad you like your truck. My 16 year old F160 still only has about 70K miles on it so I guess I'll keep it awhile...

Yeah... Sure, I'd like to upgrade... but no way considering the costs involved these days. It would be pushing $70K to replace it today. I just can't see trading a truck that is not even broken in yet. Besides, it is paid for. So I'll do the maintenance thing any day. The dealer offered me $35K for it on trade. Ahhhh NO. I'm OK with that.

Trucks are getting costly, but only because there are people who are willing to pay the price. Ford id supposed to be coming out with an F150 that will reportedly be more luxurious than the Cadillac Escalade; and will supposedly cost around $70K with all the bells and whistles. I would assume that these features will eventually find their way to the F250, F350, and F450 trucks as well, which already can run $70K for the high end models.
