I was kinda curious about that too. I'm assuming it does a little better than the gas V8 at least. In this study, they got 17.7 mpg combined in their test https://www.carscoops.com/2015/10/20...turns-177-mpg/. It doesn't say where it was conducted and I'm also assuming no towing mpg was ever calculated either.

@ Greg, I hope it gets better mileage towing than my brother's Ram gasser. Towing one of his enclosed trailers he said he got 8 MPG, 9 downhill. The speed limit on the part of I-75 he takes is 70 MPH, then 75 farther up north. I'm assuming he's not going any slower than that.

First tank I measured was 17.5 mpg in mixed driving. I'll have another fill up tomorrow with mostly around town to see how that is. Previous gas Titan was 12 in mixed and 14 just highway. At least the newer gas model has a 7 speed transmission so you can get better mileage.

Haven't towed yet. Riding season is just starting to get going now. Still can't get out for a couple weeks.

My 2011 Chevy 2500HD 6.0L 4-wd.

The camper weighs 4000 lbs dry, no air bags or helper springs.

160,000 miles and its still running the factory brake pads.

Its never been in the shop for anything more than just tires. I'v had zero problems.

On my trip in the picture from SLC to Medford OR and down the CA coast and back home I averaged 8.7 mpg.

I average close to 14 mpg empty.

Its my first Chevy truck and I am very pleased with it.

Glad yours is treating you so well. I didn't have as good a time with GM as you are.

I'm on my second Chevy truck. I wish I would have kept the first one longer. After the 6 year extended warranty was up the alternator went out and I traded it in soon after. Stupid.

Cool pic. We have our share of statues here of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox too, some better than others.
