Just bought an X5
We got this BMW X5 at an auction slighty above dealer cost. It's an 03 BMW X5 3.0i loaded with colder weather, premium, and sport package. 99,000 miles, $13k.
This is be my wifes daily driver. It rides and corners like is is on rails. Has wide 18' wheels, and man this suv is sun fun to drive. This is our first luxury, high end vehilce and I am already spoiled by it. The full time 4wd is amazing, and all the options this thing has us incredible.

This is one point where the European cars have it all over American cars. The handing of European cars is generally several orders of magnitude better than an American car. There a a few exceptions where an American car is equal to European cars but as a rule, American cars handle like pregnant whales.

All depends what american vehicle you drive. I have a Mustang GT that handles real nice, but the BMW has a soild feel to it. My wife was driving home last night and she said it felt like the X5 was rocking when going up the inclines and uneven road in some spots. So I took it out for a test drive and some gas, and came to the conclusion that what she felt was the sports suspension. I love the feel of BMW's and Mercedes, they feel like tanks when going down the road.

Yea right! when i was testing it out, I thought I was doing 50, but really was doing almost 70. I wonder what the 8 would feel like. The I6 moves this 4500lbs plus vehicle very well, and very smooth. Huge difference from an american suv.
