Hope by now you have made a decision. I think the concensus is get brakes. Just in case you need more to think about, ask yourself this. How much do you have invested in the tow vehicle, trailer and ATV's, and is it worth risking them? Not sure about you, but in my mind, the extra couple hundred dollars is cheap insurance.

It isn't hard to do at all as long as the trailer axle has a brake flange already on it. If it doesn't you will need them welded on ar have to buy a new axle. Otherwise it is probably about $250-230 for all the parts and a saturday. Plus you will have brand new brakes, you can buy one with brakes but a lot of people over look them and they may need work too.
