Default 18" or 20" wheels/tires?

Alright we'll be getting another new SUV/XUV/"Truck" whatever for my wife. 2010 Chevy Traverse. Getting it pretty much fully loaded. V92 trailer package is a great deal at a little over $500.

Wondering what thoughts anyone here may have on the wheels/tires. It will come with 20s - 255/55R20 (Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza) rated 65,000 miles.

If I want the dealer will swap them out for the 18s - 255/65R18 (Goodyear Fortera HL) rated 60,000 miles.

I am a little concerned about 2 things.

1. Lower sidewall height of the 20s leading to damages wheels.

2. Traction of the 20s in snow - of course on roads only.

Here's the 18s:

Here's the 20s:

Note: The 20s as shown are in a 55 series profile.

Check to see what effect it has on your load rating. Dodge put 20's on their 1500 but the fine print indicated you just lost most of your load rating. Bigger wheels and tires can also have a negative effect on your ability to stop. Especially if you are talking really big/heavy setups.
