Car Trailer: I Need A REALLY Short Trailer!
Hi,
I need a trailer to haul an Eiger 400 4x4 I'll buy soon.
One problem; I have to fit the trailer and quad in a 10' x 10' rented storage unit. I keep other things in it as well and want to keep the quad ON the trailer, rather than next to the trailer, so there is still room in the storage unit for my other belongings.
With that said, I need a trailer whose FULL, stored length is less than 10 feet.
So I guess it will need a tongue (is that what its called?) that is removable, or foldable, or colapsable WITHOUT HAVING TO TILT the trailer way up- since the quad will still be on it.
I'm assuming there are no trailers with rigid tongues less than 10 feet total- maybe I'm wrong.
Do they sell such a short trailer?
Thanks,
Bill

The trailer tounge is easy enough to modify. Just cut it (or have a machine/welding shop do it) and have a "sleave" made for it and attach it back with 2 puns or bolts. Viola a removeable tounge. On ALOT of "cheeper" trailers the tounge is easy enough to remove (they unbolt easy alot of times.. Just take a GOOD look at the trailer before you buy).

check on ebay. They sell a 4x8 trailer that folds in half. It stores in a 5'3" by 2' area. You would not be able to keep the atv on it but you would have alot of extra room. It sells for about $350. It is a heavy duty trailer but for atv hauling it works great. I had one for a few years. All you have to do is but a 4x8 sheet of ply wood on it.

Check out www.snowbear.com
I bought one and it should fit in your storage bay. It is light weight and will still haul 2000lbs.
It all comes apart easily.
Check it out!!
