Ask me again Sunday, highway.
I'm headed out tomorrow for a ride into the 6000-7000 ft. mountains along the Idaho-Montana line. My Warn 2500 is sitting in my garage, and I plan to tackle the installation on my Foreman 450ES on Sunday (if I'm not too stiff to walk, after a day on the high-mountain trails!) I'm thinking the solenoid will maybe fit somewhere under the seat, but I haven't checked it out yet.
If you beat me to the job, let me know what you decide.

HighRider,
i ended up mounting the solenoid(drilled 2 holes for mounting screws) in the trunk compartment near the top right corner and used black silicone to seal the wire routing holes (2 small holes) then instead of splicing into the accessory wire i opted to use a 50 amp toggle switch which i used 3m double sided tape to mount to the inside of the trunk aswell...... i jumped the power from the positive post on the solenoid to hook up the toggle switch. that way the solenoid isn't powered up fully until i flip the switch and everything stays good and dry in there too

FIFTY-AMP toggle switch? Wow! Is that the one with the big two-handed lever?
Thanks for the info. You definitely beat me to it.
My neignbor came over today, wanted to ride.
We hit the trail north of Prichard, Idaho, at 2 p.m., rode "over the top" (5100 ft pass) into Montana, had a sandwich in Trout Creek, Montana,
and back ... 85 miles of mountain trails in one afternoon.
Just got home (11 pm), yet another day when that darned riding got in the way of my Winch project.
