Polaris's Corporate Headquarters is in Medina, Minnesota. But they have engineering, manufacturing and distribution facilities all across the Midwest, and wholly-owned subsidiaries in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France and Great Britain.

You are right. I just read that. BOTH the Sportsman and Artic Cat have 300 lbs capacity, more than any other manufacturer. So our cheapo "Plastic" racks can hold just as much as your "steel" racks. Plus, they will never rust.

I am very far from being rich, so before investing thousands of dollars on a quad, I wanted to make sure I was oing to get the best. I test rode many of the quads you listed, then read shootout articles, and spent alot of time talking to other quad owners. I narrowed it down to The sportsman 700 and the Grizz 660. They both are very evenly matched. I chose the Sportsman and am very happy with it, but I recomend you try a sportsman then a Grizz.

jax,

Artic Cat might be made here but there engines are Suzuki and Kawasaki if i'm not mistaken. Can't they design their own engines?

AH yes see the thing you don't understand is suzuki owns 41 % of cat and there engines combined with cats tranny are bullit proof not to mention kawasaki is now a sister company of suzuki "nice family" they've all been proven to be super tough so "if it ain't broke why fix it". Can't say the same thing about po'liars. "pass the tool box!" And about the plastick racks it's pretty hard to repair plastic if you break it. One more thing where'd they get that shifter a lawnboy sit down tractor? Look out might take an eye out!

It just kills me how these guys keep saying how great the praires are.The sportsman had a recall for a leaking waterpump cover and the praire was recalled because the front suspension arms were falling off so far over 20 people have been hurt because of it.Now thats what I call JAP quality..

Your right. here is the link, look at where they're manufactured. 97-2000 300's and 400's, didn't see anything about P650, p700, V or 360.

kawi recall

Three years ago I owned 3 polaris atv's and 3 polaris snowsleds, there was something wrong with 1 or 2 of them all the time. That was 3 years ago, I'm sure Polaris has improved, I hope Kawi has to.
