Who is the King of the Utiltys?
#174
Now I have herd it all, A polaris guy bashing Kawi for a recall, Last time I checked Polaris was the industry leader in recalls and service issues, and as far as the general topic of this forum is the king of utilities, not older small cc bikes. The P650 and P700 have not had any recalls, So if recalls is you contention that a SP 700 is better than a P650/P700 I gues that would mean Kawi would be the better bike. I would wait about a year or so or at least 200 plus hours befor saying how great the polaris atv's are, All 4 of the polaris ATV"S that I have owned all were running when I sold them but what it took to keep them running was another story.

RINCON - HANDS DOWN!!
**Here is my post from the Honda forum**
I just gotta say, I don't care what anyone says, Honda's are built ROCK SOLID. I rolled my Rincon 2 weeks ago, yep, pretty bad too, it up ended over me on a steep climb then proceeded to get sideways and tumble down the hill...I was totally bummed when it came to rest on it's side totally smashed. At least I have insurance and it's getting fixed but let me tell you, we pulled it over on all four wheels, I found the starter and she cranked right up, ran great, albeit a bent wheel, shifted great in and out of 4wheel drive. The engine, chassis, and suspension are perfect. The shop said they are built to hold up and it did. Now I just need new plastic, new cargo rails, new wheels, new handlebar, 4 pages of stuff to replace - and an oil change.
Way to go Honda - I'm ridin red for keeps!

The new 700 Prairie, why do I say that? I bought one today, hah ! I rode one for about an hour this morning and haven't stopped smiling yet. Seriously now, I been into dirt riding for 38 years now and this kind of stuff is always asked " who's the best? who's the king of blah, blah, blah?". It's all a matter of personal preference, how your going to use it, ect... they all have good points and not so good points, nothing is perfect. I been riding a Polaris Scrambler since 98 when I bought it new, before that I had a Sportsman 400, before that a Suzuki, ect... It is fun to get into one of these thread though I must admit, so I say the Prairie 700, oh by the way I'm not a newbie to this forum, I been away for quite a while and couldn't log in with my old info, man this site has changed a lot, not neccesarily for the better, what happened to all the feature articles and tests they used to do on here?

I know big deal you roll your Rincon and it starts, wow? I put a Polaris thru the ice one winter it was totally submerged, we pulled it out with my buddies machine (luckily this was near the shoreline) anyways we drained the air box, removed the filter, pulled the plug and cranked it over a bit, put the plug back in and it fired right up. This doesn't make Polaris Hands Down the Best. I could go on and on about what I don't like about a Rincon but that's my opinion, I don't bash on other folks rides! I personally don't like IRS until they come out with an IRS that doesnt have body roll in a fast corner, I will stick with straight axles, thats the way I ride though, some that wouldn't matter in the least. later
