Or to put it another way Tellico,
In the last two years, The Prairies have beaten the Grizzlies in magazine shootouts like OKLAHOMA has beaten alabama. I would dismiss those magazines too if they said my quad was the 5th best big bore quad.

First off i dont like to bash others atvs.
Now to say that a Prairie 700 will out mud and out do a climb a Grizzly is just crazy! There is a big important thing the Prairie needs to beat the Grizz in those areas of riding GROUND CLEARNCE! Let's just face it the Prairie is great in two areas handling and speed. The Grizzly is a awsome all around atv. I am not just saying this because of what I have heard, I have seat time on 2 different one's. But the truth is the Prairie and Grizz are about as different as two atvs can be.
You also said the Polaris On-demand true AWD was crazy. Let's see how crazy, you flip a thumb switch and that's all you worry about. It locks when it fells the least bit of rear wheel slip to true awd not 3 wd. The Prairie you must stop, put it in 3 wd and then hold a break handle looking thing the hole time for true awd (not much fun). What I am saying is that the Polaris awd is much easier to use, and with the Polaris IRS and GC it could eat a Prairie in a mud hole, just like a Prairie could eat anyother 4x4 in a drag.
Just thought i would point that out.

Aaron S,
I don't like to bash other ATV's either. I simply got tired of Tellico bashing the Prairie. I agree that the Grizz and the Prairie are very different but still for comparison purposes they are grouped together because they are their companies big bore utility 4x4's. The issues that I spoke of concerning the Grizzly are real and I have witnessed them first hand because I ride with a gentleman that has one.
As for your Polaris. I have owned a 2003 Sportsman 700. I only owned it for about 4 months because I hated it. It's too heavy and contrary to what you say, the 4 wheel drive system is troublesome at times because it decideswhen to engage and you have no control. I had problems with it engaging too late to be effective in some instances. Another item of concern with Polaris is the one lever for the front and back braking system. This system strips the rider of significant control while going down hill. There are also MANY quality control issues with the SP700. These issues are well documented in the Polaris forum. Mine was in the shop three times in the four months that I owned it. The shifter is clunky and cumbersome to use also. They also didn't even have a gas guage until 04.
The Polaris is very comfortable to ride and super smooth and powerful. When your riding it you feel invinsible. I like the big feel when your just riding around casually. It is MUCH more stable than the Grizz. If I were choosing a quad for work or for hunting, camping, etc. it would definitely be the Polaris. I think that the Polaris looks the best of all of them. I'm not trying to start a fight with you on this. I think they're all good quads in their own right. I got tired of Tellico's attitude and fired back. Those comments are all directed at him exclusively and not intended for anyone else.

Idiot,
KSU didn't beat us at home you moron, they beat OU in Kansas City. OU turned down Alabama because after you beat a team two consecutive years like OU did, there's nothing more to prove. So, while Alabama stays home this year on probation with a losing record, OU will play for and win ANOTHER national championship. Get your facts straight before you spout off.
I see that you didn't fire back with any Grizz rants, you had to come back with Polaris rants and you don't even own one. So I can only assume that you finally know you're an idiot and that your quad is an inferior to the Prairie. Did you fall and hit your head at Tellico on "your mountain"? I hope so, because if you didn't there's simply no excuse for some of the dumb $hit you have said.
Lastly, it's obvious you're not a mental heavy weight, so run along and come back sometime when you have something intelligent to say.

Cam650, Lets end this little debate by answering a few simple questions. You say you know the Grizzly because you ride with someone who has one. I say I know the Grizzly because I OWN one!!! Yes I have ridden a Prairie and I will defiantely say they are very wonderful and extremely fast machine!!! The piont you are missing is this!!! I said ALL IRS machines including mine but not limited to just mine!!! You say my Grizzly can't go through water or that they staul??? I've never had that problem and I've had water up to headlights at times!!! You say the Prairie is ALOT better overall than the IRS machines including the Grizzly!! I have one question for you, if its better overall then why can the IRS machines do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING the Prairie can but maybe just not as fast. Now, in stating that FACT. There is DEFINATELY things the IRS machines CAN do that the Prairie CAN'T!!! As far as the magz go, keep on reading!!!! Afterall, isnt the magz just an opinion of what 6 people, just like your opinion and mine, but I love it how they said the Kawi got stuck due to low ground clearance and never mentioned getting stuck on any of the other quads!!! We all know who owns the drag racing part of the Utility quads, there is no debating that!!! To say that the prairie is superior to any quad in Trail riding, how can you say that??? The Grizzly will in fact trail ride, you say its tippy in off camer situations, well my style riding I'm used to tail whipping a 230lb motorcycle going 45+mph over 100ft, tippy I am very comfortable with!! But the truth is that it seems you will never ever admit is that the Grizzly "AND" the other IRS machines will in fact go where your precious quad will not!!!! You are tired of hearing me BASH the Prairie, I'm tired of hearing about how FAST the quad is, there are ALOT of fast quads on the market today. For example, the banshee is a very FAST quad, but it sucks on the MX track, its not that it can't cuz it is very much capable, just not as FAST around the track as the others. But there are places that the Banshee will NOT go!!! The question I ask is where can the Prairie go that the Grizzly "AND" other IRS machines can't????? After reaching your conclusion on that, ask yourself where the Grizzly "AND" other IRS machines can go that the Prairie can't??? If you answer those truthfully, my debate and the so called bashing of the Prairie will forever end from this point on!!

Tellico,
Your stupidity seems to know no boundaries. Is that an Alabama thing? As I stated before, Grizzlies have a well documented problem operating in deep water. Are you telling me that yours is the only one that doesn't? They ARE tippy, that is also well documented. They are the least stable of the big bore quads, that is a fact. You are an idiot, that is a well documented fact. It's funny that every publication I read agrees with me and a small band of morons shares your opinion. You are obviously very jealous of the Prairie because you bash it so much. Yes it is MUCH faster than yours in ANY situation. Speed and power ARE two attributes used to compare like model quads. Get over it. I have no problems with any other quad, including Grizzlies, I have a problem with the stupidity that continually comes from you.
Concerning the IRS quads, I have had no problems going ANYWHERE any of the IRS quads can go and yes, I can go there MUCH faster. I have admitted that somes quads, i.e. Polaris SP700, are better for work applications as well as casual riding and that they look the best. I understand that the new Arctic Cats are VERY good in nasty conditions. I also understand that the Honda Rincon has a far superior transmission. Mine just happens to be the best for my type of riding. In reading your past posts, you were very much hell bent on bashing the Prairie to the point where you appeared to be horribly jealous. No one fired back at you and you continued to bash.
Concerning your Grizzly, I can't help it that it continually finishes near the bottom of the comparisons. The problems with it are documented and true. I've seen them first hand. You know it too you're just lying to yourself and trying to justify your poor purchasing decision. Maybe next time you'll do a little more research before you jump. If you want, I'll sell you my Prairie 700. I like that new Suzuki Twin Peaks in the blue color. You can thank me later and then we can be pen pals.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS: THE PRAIRIE 700 IS FAR SUPERIOR TO THE GRIZZLY AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT. YOU KNOW IT, QUIT KIDDING YOURSELF. YAMAHA IS A QUALITY COMPANY AND I'M SURE THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE GRIZZ 660 WILL ADDRESS THE CURRENT QUAD'S NUMEROUS SHORTCOMINGS. IF IT'S BETTER THAN A PRAIRIE, I'LL BUY ONE. BUT UNTIL THEN, IT'S JUST A DATED, SO-SO QUAD.
