You are so right. Trying to communicate to a 14 year old about being objective is a very big task.

I love these kinds of posts, they are super funny!

In my opinion and preferrence, right now, the Prairie700 is the King, but in the fall it might be another story with the rumored new Suzuki KingQuad700efi, Bombardier Outlander750efi and Kawasaki750efi.
And Mooch, if a get it right, in the Atv market the polaris two valve per cylinder and push rod engines are the most hi-tech engines out there, overhead cams with four or five valves are a thing of the past??? Wow, 45.00$ a month is surely a good price for all that technology cost!!!

The only engines that Polaris make that are 2 valve per cylinder are the 600 and 700 twins, and the 330 in the ATP, Magnum and Trailboss. The 600 and 700 have proven themselves the way they are now, putting out 42 hp for the 600, 47 for the 700 and 50 for the 700 EFI. Plenty powerful and tourqey. The 400 and 500 both have a 4 valve head and have had that for at least 8 years or more.
Besides, I don't think Mooch was specifically talking about engines and never said what you are claiming. I think he was talking about technologically advanced machine as a whole, which I believe too. And the $45 thing is actually $49 minimum monthly payment at 4.9% or a free Warn winch since you didn't read it right.

Sp600towtruck,
I know Polaris' 600 and 700 twin engines are only equiped with two valves per cylinder. I wasn't regarding reliability (because Polaris' notoriety for reliability is well known and its not worth arguing about) but a statement made on its technological level versus what is offered in the atv market. I find it hard to believe someone telling me a two valve per cylinder, push rod, simple cam in block, vertical parallel twin cylinder needing a counter balancer to limit its vibrations being more prominent when I know about an engine like the Prairie 650/700 producing an abondance of torque at bottom end due to its two 90° opposed pistons (limiting vibrations) and two carburators for its specific cylinder, that breaths freely and easily revs because of its four valves per cylinder and its single over head cam for both cylinders that permits a quick throttle response. And, that Kawasaki's 650 V-Twin developped more power and torque with its 633cc than the Polaris 700 with 683cc of displacement. A part the engine, suspension and frame (because the Honda Rincon and Bombardier Outlander have a much more functional frame design and interesting suspension concept making them more efficient than any other suspension systems available on the market), not much is the most hi-tech component available in the ATV market from these machines accept, yes EFI, and since its was released the EFI has had, yes reliability issues which is what Polaris notorious for. Lucky, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Bombardier are also coming out with EFI equipt ATVs in the fall (but should be arriving around July). A Suzuki KingQuad 700EFI, A Kawasaki Prairie 750EFI and a Bombardier Outlander 750EFI. Bombardier will be equiped with a German EFI system and Kawasaki and Suzuki with Japanese EFI systems which are renound for first-rate reliability giving us a more interesting choice of EFI equiped ATVs. And yes, I read Mooch right, he said 45$ and not 49$ monthly which not that important.

How many times does this have to be posted?? It DEPENDS on WHAT YOU DO!
For me...Rock Crawling. The Praire 700 is TOTALLY.....inadequate. Ground clearance (at center of chassis/at rear axle): 9.5/7.6 in.
It has a freaking SOLID axl......I'll smack the crap out of it, in the first 1/2 mile. I have 13 inches on clearance now on my Polaris 700....and I STILL smack the crap out of my bottom skid plates....
That solid axl for me.....is a big round BULLSEYE. I might as well have a big HOOK under me.
That said....I would NEVER get on here and tell you, based on what I just said...that the Polaris 700 is the best ATV out there. For what *I* do...I think it is....for someone else...doing something different.....it may not.
So if someone ask me...."What's the best big quad out there??" The first question I'd ask, isn't where's your nearest Polaris dealer. It would be...What type of riding do you want to do?

LittleBoy- For the record there. The SP700 EFI uses a Bosch EFI sysyem. Yes, thats the same Bosch that is found on many automobiles today. And last I checked, they were a German company. Also, its hard to argue the Bomb or Honda's suspension being better than the Sportsman's. The Sportsman has to be the smoothest riding machine out there. All new machines have had their problems, and yes, your precious Prairie as well as the Honda and Yamahas and Bombs. No machine is perfect. And I also agree........LET THIS DAMN THREAD DIE!!!!!!

BigBadScrambler,
Thanks for the insight, I didn't know Polaris' 700 efi systems came from Bosch. Let hope Bosch will have corrected their flaws on their new ATV efi systems by the release of the Bombardier Outlander 750efi. But, I heard Polaris already had updates to their CDIs programs offered at their dealerships, so corrections will be made.
KenHower,
I understand what you are saying, but I think you don't understand what I alleged because you wouldn't have written that paragraph for nothing. When, I say that the Prairie 700 is the best in my opinion and preference, what I am saying with the word preference is consequently the priority of its use for me.
