Also, its hard to argue the Bomb or Honda's suspension being better than the Sportsman's. The Sportsman has to be the smoothest riding machine out there. All new machines have had their problems, and yes, your precious Prairie as well as the Honda and Yamahas and Bombs. No machine is perfect. And I also agree........LET THIS DAMN THREAD DIE!!!!!!
You are so right, bigbadscrambler......Hey Littleboy......Have you ever rode a new polaris?????? If you have, then you would realize they have the best ride out there bar none. I have rode most of them and I picked the 700 prairie for me and did my own mods, but the fact is the polaris had much better ground clearance for rock crawling and stuff like that. I picked the kawa 700prairie for me because I wanted the most powerful motor, but the polaris 700efi is an awsome bike too. I considered it as well as others and then bought the one for me. So, does that make the other quads that I did not pic inferior quads???? Not at all. I do a good amount of muddin, but most of it is in less than 2 feet of mud. If I was going to mud alot in extremely deep mud, then the polaris would be the best one to get. So you see LITTLE BOY, we all try to pick quads that fit our needs. And all the quads now days are very well built, but it depends on how you treat them. In the past, the polaris were breaking down all the time, but now, they are great reliable machines. Even though I have a kawasaki 700 prairie for me, I might consider getting my wife a 400 sportsman because of the ride.......AND I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT RELIABILITY. Please let this thread die!

Man am I glad Nascar didn't take this approach. The "Family Cars" they race today are very entertaing. I guess other brands cannot call there quads Sport Ute's but the Kawasaki Prairie 700 is. So why not race it? GNCC you might want to do away with the Utility class as these quads are just not up to raing...LMAO...

I know everyone likes what they like. Ride them and decide for yourself. I'm going ot throw this in though - over on another site (t i m e) under the Windrock folder, there is a post from I am Papa Smurf, about a class action law suit they are trying to get for the Polaris 500 & 700, so many frames have cracked. You might want to check into that. (Mrs. Q)

All this arguing about which is better is kinda old which i know itll last forever. Everyone likes different things. The best thing to do is buy a bike that has more options of upgrading, that way you can tweak it out to what you want exactly. Look at Climb - IRS foreman and rancher. If you dont like the Gc start extending. there is so many possibilitys to what you can do to bikes you can't say which bike is the best stock cause no one keeps them completely stock.
