Pushing it is no problem. Now, stopping it, that's another thing altogether.

I used my old King Quad to back a dump trailer uphill into a tight construction area. Trailer weighs just under 1 ton empty, and had about 1 1/4 tons of debris in it. With one extra guy on the hitch and one on the front rack to add traction, there was no problem backing it up the slope. Moving forward on the downhill was even harder though, as even with the extra weight on the quad the trailer would just push it until it eventually stopped.

Good reply TrailBlazerguy250
Its always best to ask when in doubt instead of just going in and regretting it ( i have learned from experience but we wont go there)

my god jaybeecon55 you could of been hurt doin that number on you and your quad i mean 4,500 lbs on a quad jesus christ thats insane especially goin up a hill most hitches that you can put on a quad are only rated for like 5,000 lbs.....i mean some trucks would have trouble backin up a hill with that weight on there!!.....o well....good reply trailblazer!...always nice to see some people with common sense on here ....good luck yamwarrior....u would be better off movin it with tractor or truck or sumpin though if you had one....depends on how heavy it is cause the heaviest 4wheeler out there is only like 700lbs and if its 4,500lbs like jaybeecon's was i wouldnt recomend it....lol
