Occasionally, I've had to tap my starter with a wrench or something to start my '93 Bayou 400 4x4. Today it finally died. Solenoid is clicking but starter won't turn. Any suggestions on problem. Perhaps worn brushes? Also, I removed the two mounting screws for the starter, but can't get it out. Will it require major surgery to remove the starter or should it slide out of housing? Thanks for any help.
