Has anyone besides me gone to dirtwheelsmag.com and read their "method" for doing wheelies on an auto-clutch utility quad? If you haven't, please go and read it so you can answer this question for me. Isn't this way of doing a wheelie very rough on the transmission or drivetrain or something?

yeah - popping the clutch is bad. ATV, car, bus, whatever. stress on the xmission and drivetrain. Just think about what's exactly happening. You wind the engine, then suddenly release the clutch. BAM! Take off.

I have a Rancher 4x4 and all I have to do to get it up on two wheels is stand on the back rack , push down , and pin the throtle . Up you go and it works on autos too. Cousin has a Kodiak 400 4x4 and does it all the time .

OutlawRancher!!!! Hello there. I am wondering how you like you rancher. I currently have to racers and looking to buy a 4by4 to push snow, Thats the only purpose, I 've riden all the new quads that are 350cc and lower. I am stuck between the yamaha Bruin 350 or the rancher 350. I dont like the revese on the honda but they have real good finance right now. The Bruin I afraid that the belt will not last pushing snow

I love my Rancher 4x4 . I have only have it stuck 4 times due to bottoming out . Other than that it gets me in and out of almost every hole I attenpt . If you are planning on pushing snow just get some ITP 589s and a diff-locker and you'll be set . Look at my sig. for what i'm getting . I have pulled out so many 250 Recons and dirt bikes that I quit counting after the first week . Great bike !! Anything else I would be happy to answer for you .

Outlaw Rancher!!! Thanks for the insight, I am stopping by the Honda Dealership to put my order in on Monday, Now whats the deal with the diff- lockers,(I know that it will make all the wheels spin together) Do you really need them??? Are they hard to put in yourself and how much money are we talking about??? This rancher is going to be for my little business do you think the atv and the plow would work fine?? I don't want to spend a lot of money to get started!

i think it would do fine without the diff lock, but then again i dont have a rancher and i dont plow snow...................................ok dont take my opinion. i fthink a rancher would be better than a bruin though.
