#51
Hello all,, i have an arctic cat 400 , i have had no problems with it,, it has a huge fuel tank, tons of ground clearance, mine is a 5 speed,, it seems fast enough for what i am doing, it has a suzuki motor,, and a good suspension,, only weakness may be that it wont take corners at breakneck speed,, but i have a yz400f if i wanna try and kill myself, why cant my bike be a contender in this catagory?

It's like they say. Its all in how you take care of the machine right? Some honda big red trikes, and others are seen often in good shape. If you beat the snot out of it, then dont expect it to be that great of a machine 5 or 6 years down the road.

jaxBIGCAT, is any body out there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Yes, we are here. I think we already decided that the Outlander 400 is the ugliest "best in class" for some people. For everyone else, the vote is still out.

I have been reading a little about the outlander, it sounds impressive, i have see none of them this farsouth yet. but mine is almost new so i am not in the market, and also my arctic cat doesnt make you want to vomit when you look at it,, hehe. Anyway i really dont care about looks that much. i wont win any drag races with my bike but it is what i want,, quiet, tall , reliable, i think i got the best out there.

The outlander might be ugly, buy I say congrats to the people at Bombardier for an impressive machine. Honda any Yamaha have had years and years to perfect their quads. The outlander is bombardier's first attempt at an atv in the 400 class. Not bad. I cant wait to see it evolve like all atvs do. Like the outlander or not, it puts pressure on the other manufacturers to improve upon their machines. We all benefit from this. If you look at one, check out the rear suspension setup. Simple and ingenius. Compare the moving parts to the rear independant of the polaris. It has set the bar for independant rear suspension. It gets my vote for best in the 400 class. If Honda would put an IRS under the rancher at 400, it would be my choice.

I will say this, the bombardier is a great machine! Take it to an mx track, the YFZ will devastate the DS650 anyday!!!! Go to the dunes, build the DS to its max, then take the ole faithful Banshee and build it and see which one wins the drag!!! Take the Biggest Utility machines that Bomb makes and pit it against he SP700 P700 Grizz AC650 in places that real 4x4 counts!!!! Then lets see which is the best!!!! Best in class, isnt that usually the newest quad out that year, or wait the FASTEST!!!! Forgot, lets add this up
KEYS TO BECOMING "BEST IN CLASS":
1. Be the new quad out!
2. Be the fastest "Utility" lol!
REAL WORLD KEYS TO BEING THE BEST THAT ARE ALWAYS OVERLOOKED FOR SPEED:
1. Follow me all Mighty "Prairie" oh wait "Outlander", sorry guys the sensation I have with Speed being my decision for a Utility 600lb 4x4 machine had my mind wandering!!!
2. Looks all the way!!!!! LOL!!!!!!! I really do think the Powere Wheels Ninja aka Quad could take the outlander around my Kitchen table!!!! Whats up now OUTLANDER!!!!!!!!
