Cycle Country Plow..... any problems?
#1
Hi I just got a 60" Cycle Country plow w/electric lift and top flap for my P700. Anyone ever have problems with their CC plow? What about the plow mount.. do you leave it on or take it off for the summer trail riding? The manual says to remove it because of ground clearence problems... Anybody have a problem with it??

I to have a cycle country plow. I have had no problems other than the metal strip or edge i think its called does wear a little fast in my opinion. But its replacable. And or you can custom make your own. Im thinking of trying a tough plastic like poly sheeting or just going to my local metal place and have one made out of tougher grade of steel. I do keep it coated with silicone or wd 40 to prevent any rust build up. and the snow slides off much easier!
Yes I do leave my adapter on the bottom of my atv. Yes you lose 3/4 of and inch of ground clearance. but to me that is fine, it beats the hell out of taking it on and off.
However One trick i learnt form an old freind was to place washers in between the tabs when you remove the blade, the tabs are the ones that your arms of your blade slip into under the atv and then the pin shoves through so the blade can pivot up and down.. I hope you understand what im trying to say. this way if you hit something with the tabs that your blade goes into you wont deform them.

No problems yet. I have the 52" County blade. If you ride over downed trees 20" round...you might get hung up with the mount still on your quad. I drilled holes in my full length aluminum skid plate so i can install the mount without taking the skid plate off. Where I ride, sometimes you have no choice but to hop over a log.

Thanks for the reply's.... I'm excited to get it installed and be ready for winter. I used a 25hp garden tractor last year, and it SUCKED!! At least now, it should be alot more fun plowing!
btw....what tires do you guys use for winter and plowing?
