Default Rumors of a 700+ Grizzly?

Anyone hearing any rumors of a 700+cc Grizzly for next year? It seems to me that Yamaha has no choice but to "beef" up the Grizz to at least a 700cc bike. Engine choice for Yamaha....single cylinder or a V-twin?

Default Rumors of a 700cc+ Grizzly?

I heard that Yamaha is not changing anything, but the styling of the griz in 04. The v-twin is patented through kawasaki to be used in quads. They sell the motor to artic cat and suzuki, but they are the only ones who can build a v-twin for a quad at this time.

Default Rumors of a 700cc+ Grizzly?

WHAAAAAAAA?!?!?! Yamaha has had V-twins in a few of thier street bikes and theres no way Kawasaki or anyone could stop them from putting a V-twin in a quad. We all and knew this summer that the 04 Grizz was the same as the 2002-2003's except for the new side panels, a override button for diff lock mode, a new ratchet gas cap. Other than these minor changes its the same bike as the 2 years before. Well, one more thing they went back to the 2002 design for the axles because the 2003 were having some problems with them "snapping". I was talking about a new and improved 2005 bike. Any rumors? For that matter what would Grizzly owners like to see Yamaha do to improve the Grizz for 2005??

The Kodiak does great with those ITP 589's but you have to realize these are the same size as stock EXCEPT that they are 1 inch wider front and rear. A friend of mine has a 2003 Kodiak also and I rode it the other day with Titan 589's that were 26's and the bike still ran very good. BTW, if your interested in 589's go to Nebraska Tire and ask about the Titan 589 blems for $200 delivered to your door. Its by far the best deal around on tires. The blems are just cosmetic blems and the run and ride great.

Yamaha is not changing anything to the grizzly in 2004 exept for some outer styling. But all-in-all the grizzly is going to stay like it is and keep saleing more and more quads. Yamaha is doing preety good so far with the seling of the rincon. I think that once yamaha gets the grizzly up to 700cc's it will hit a hole that has not been hit yet and be selling quads like crazy. But I think that the grizzly it good like she is. I would not like to see anything changed about her.
