do utility atvs float??
Reading the replies made me laugh bunches..... In my humble experience motorcycles, 3 wheelers and 1979 Pontiac station wagons(parents!) all sink.. I have since learned that only boats were made to float. One thing for sure, the water will be cold!! Sorry, I couldn't resist!

My Rancher floated Very well. Right down the river! No, really, it floated with someone on it, feet on the back racks pulling up on the handlebars to get the front tires up...sounded like a waverunner! And it floated going down the river with passenger standing and holding onto the handlebars hoping to not lose it. I have seen a Sportsman, z400, and Raptor all turn over and sink and float down the river. Not sure about a Rincon?

Some small ones float, most big bikes sink. Big tires may help a little with flotation though.
Most bikes and skidoos around here keep a plastic javax or milk bottle tied to the rack with 50' or so of rope. When you loose the machine, at least the bottle still floats to mark where the machine is. Follow the rope to 10 grand!!! This is important if you hit open water and your not sure where the machine went down.

I got a honda rancher with 26inch mud bugs and i got the back and front 26-12x12 on all four and she floats..but you gotta get the water up to about the top of the seat before you feel it start to float...And it will do water wheelies too. As long as you have wide balloon like tires they will float. Everyone of my buddies makes fun of me cause they say the sizing looks wierd but I laugh when they cant float in water and did i mention less ground pressure = more flotation on mud too.
