On this machine it sure would. I guess on most 4*4 the tires are same size fromt to back. My other zuki quadrunner has 25 rear and 22 front and its a 4*4. Same year 2002. When i get around to updrading tires on that i will go 26 rear and 23 front.I will reserch and find people who did this first though to make sure it will work.

I was gunna get the 589's but herd they ride hard on trails. I do ride trails alot. My gators seem to ride good and smooth on trails, without hardly any wear in 1800 miles. They seem to work well in the mud. They suck in soft sand-dig a hole. My machine is only a 280 cc so maybe it works well cause it don't have all that power to spin. Kinda like a toyota truck with big mud tires with the 4 cyl engine. If the tires are touching they just go.

Earl's right, The King Quads are geared to have different size tires, Kinda like a 4x4 backhoe. Earl, I think your comparison to the Toyota is right on,, I did want to tell you, A friend of mine had to have bigger tires than me on his KQ so he oversized 1 inch,, "Just an inch taller, No biggie!" WRONG took the already slow KQ and handcuffed it, Way underpowered and breaking stuff (CVs and axles) uses low gear all the time. I'm not saying you should'nt do it,, I'm just relaying my experience. I'm not very hard on the machine so i don't think it will be a problem for me. If the trails bad i either find a way to fix the spot or go around. If its that bad i can't,i turn around and find a new trail. When i'm on gravel roads i use high range-trails low range-if it need more, super low range. I always use the gearing to keep the atv from straining to hard. I'm 49 so i'm over the crash and bang stuff.

The ones i got on now seem to do real well on climbing hills. They even seem to work good on ledge. I run fairly low air pressure in them cause they are a 6 ply tire. 2.5 pounds

Got the Gators all on-26*12*12 rear -- 25*8*12 front. Really didn't notice any power differance. But traction is really good. The only place i found that i have a problem is hill climbs in soft sand. The machine wants to dig a big ol bad hole. But it stiil does ok for a small little 280 class mchine. Haven't noticed much differance in fuel milage either. Still ride all day on a tank. Unless you crash and burn all day- which i don't. Parts cost way to much to be doing that. But as far a Gators go-I'll allways use them on my machines- Whatever it may be.

Gators all 4
Tred lightly - maybe the landowners will let you ride more.

earltash................Where did you find front wheels for a kind quad in 12 inch size? Ive never been able to find any, and I want to go to 25x8x12 on the front of my king quad, and 26x10x12 on the back, like you did.

Itp no longer makes them, but douglas wheel does.
Precision powersport managed to get the rears , but could not get the front.
I managed to get the front from a atv junkjard after many emails and faxes all over the country. Only found 2 fronts after over 200 emails and about 100 faxes.

For General Information call 1-760-758-5560
To Request a Catalog Send e-mail to sales@douglaswheel.com,
or call 1-760-758-5560,
or send faxes to 1-760-758-5991
Think douglas wheel offers 11 inch fronts- send them a email to see.
Luck to you.
