GRIZZLY VERSES KODIAK 450
#11
Can't say from experience, but judging by the number of Griz in the shop 'cause their owner had rolled it, I'd say there might be something to all that hoopla over IRS versus straight axle. I have never ridden an IRS machine so I have no leg to stand on. I would say that if you are trail riding, and if they are tight, or narrow trails, the Kodiak would probably be easier to muscle around. You get these big monsters going slow on a tight trail and you will feel like you have been lifting weights all day. I have a Rubicon, and believe me, it is a handful when you need to turn it around at slow speed. When you are rolling it is great. If you don't need 4 wheel drive, you could consider a sport machine. I have to say there are few places I can't go with my warrior or Raptor, and if I can't go somewhere, I probably should not have been there in the first place. I only bought teh 4x4 so I could bust new trails, if the trails are in place, you probably do not need 4 wheel drive...
