works suspention

i have a rancher and after about 2 years i have realized i need a softer ride. jsut on the trails. works is the only company that makes shocks for a honda rancher. the front shocks are not adjsutable at all and the rears have threaded preload. im jsut wonder how much this will help make my ride smoother on the trails? does anyone know how much travel they have?.

I have works triple rates w/ rezzies on the front and rough areas that would normally wreck me during a race now feel like nothing in comparison. I think i got about 2" extra travel out of mine. I'll never go back to stock shocks. Also I agree with you about the HL un-locker, its given me nothing but trouble after about 50 miles of use !

I don't have aftermarket on any of my utes, but I have Works on both the 400's and am very impressed/satisfied with them. Keep in mind that no shock will last forever, and you want to get ones that are rebuildable.

yeah but theres only one thing. the works for utilities dont have all that fancy adjustments. as i said the fronts are not adjsutable, not one single thing on them, and the backs are threaded preload. is till figure even if there not adjsutable they would still give me asmoother ride.

Snowbuster, unless your running mx or racing at a profesional level the rebound/compression adjustments are overkill plus the works shocks are made to your body weight and riding style, if you go with triple rate shocks( 3 differant rates of compression) you will be more than happy with their performance plus the rear adjustment will keep your bike from bucking you off on jumps and whoops. again i'm no pro but this is my experiance. hope this helps.

well i dont know why but it seems to me on most other utility quads they have adjustable this or that but on the rancher theres not one thing u can adjsut so would u be talking about some other utility or somthing like my rancher?
