Yamaha grizzly will get you to the deer and back, and maybe a little farther

Prairie is still the fastest stock utility atv. They all have their good points and bad.

So........how fast is fast? How often do you plan on cranking the trottle wide open? Do you have a riding area where you can run flat out? How safe do you feel handling a machine cranked wide open? These are questions you need to ask yourself. I'm not trying to be a stick in your wheel spokes, but I've had my Kodiak for almost 4 yrs, and the times I really crank it open are rather infrequent. Wide open......I'm pushing 50-55 mph, and no matter what type of terrain your on, it gets alittle scarey. It only takes one little mistake or error, and then you're out of control.

I like speed myself.....but you need to keep youself and others around you safe! Good luck to ya!

I've had my P700 to 65mph many times.... Where we ride there are flat open fields that everyone drags on... I've beaten many sport quads on the 700..... And for the guys who beat me in the drags I offer to race them again through the mud/soup hole at one end of the drag area.
Your correct, in that each bike has it's good/bad points.... and it's also VERY correct that you need to have the abilities to handle whatever bike your riding... I'm a firm believer on having "training" or "Emergency skills-practise" rides at the beginning of each season, and before trying anything your not used to.

But out of all the bikes I've ridden.... The P700 is the only one that does everything well!!

Everyone of the post on this entire site, is about who's faster or how do I get faster.

I would think everyone would be interested in not how fast it goes stock, but how fast it can be made to be.

I don't want to be right on anyone a$$, I want to be out front. Think about if you just paid 6-7 grand on a new sports bike and a big old utility blows by you.

Yes, utility Atv's can be made to go fast.

Maddog, you don't have to be faster than everyone, just the guys you ride with.

Shotgun is that like saying I don't worry about the bears aslong as you put the food in the bottom of your sleeping bag.

Someone posted last night that with the new CDI, they could hit over 70 MPH with a stock p700, that's not bad.
