Honda Rancher Pull Start removal help!

Default Honda Rancher Pull Start removal help!
I am installing a leak proof pull start shield and I have the pull start off but I am stuck on the removal of the 17mm bolt. Is it a left hand thread bolt or a right hand thread?

hey cajun....how did that operation go....is it time-consuming or difficult?...i am not what you would call mechanically gifted but was considering the permanent seal mysef.
