Default 99' Grizzly 600 problems

My 99' Grizzly 600 use to go 55-60 mph until i took it through the mud and got stuck. The water was up to the seat when i was stuck and it took a while to winch it out so mud got inside by the belt. After getting stuck it only went 30 mph so i replaced the belt, ckeaned out the inside where the clutch and belt are, and cleaned out the air filter. It can now go around 35 mph which is not normal. Please Help!

Did you change your engine oil ?? If you had it in water that deep I would !! Does it start running crappy such as backfiring or does it just not go ?? You could have gotten water in some electrical connections.

Yes i changed the oil. It runs perfect. It has a lot of low end torque but once i get going around 35 it wont go any faster. It sounds like i'm stuck in like 4th gear and it wont go any faster.

Did you use Grizzly grease on the clutch ? I was told anytime the clutch is serviced Grizzly grease must be used.I have never had one apart so hopefully someone else on here has some more help for you.

Did you find your problem? I was wondering if your breaks or maybe a bearing was sticking.

my fourwheelers are up at my cabin so i'm planning on taking the clutch apart on sat. I tell you once I find the problem. i dont think it has anything to do with the breaks because it has a lot of low end torque and it doesnt hold back untill i get going around 30.
thanks

I would be willing to bet you will find the problm in your clutch. Something is hanging up.
