Carpal Tunnel
#1
Does anyone have trouble with their throttle hand going numb after riding only a short distance? I suspect that I'm developing carpal tunnel syndrome and am wondering if their are any good wrist/thumb braces that would work good for riding.
Thanks

Oh man, I was not going to bring this up but I think I got it also since I got my quad. I have never had problems with my wrists untill I got this thing. As a matter of a fact I thought this CT thing was mostly BS. Now I think different!!!!!!! My wrist between my pointer finger and my thumb feels like someone heated an ice pick red hot and then jammed it in my wrist. I have not gone trail riding in a long time and now my wrist feels much better. Sucks getting old!!!!
I you find a good brace let us know!!!!

Check out the thumb assist, finger throttle
I know that I have seen a thumb/wrist support glove in a cataloge somewhere, but can't think of it

I had problems with both hands, from a lifetime of riding mountain bikes, quads, and dirt bikes. The doctor gave me a shot of cortisone in each hand, and it has improved about 95%! That was last year, and I am doing well. See a good doctor, before you do some real damage!

Thanks for the replies! Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is real!!! I work with computers alot and years of mousing has caused my problems. I can hardly do anything without my right hand tingling! CT surgery is probably in my future
My quest is on for a good support glove. If I find one I'll post it. The Smart Glove looks promising! And yes, it is hell to get old!!!

I guess I actually have "trigger finger". The tendons in the hand run through a little opening, and if it gets inflamed (from years of gripping handlebars), it squeezes the tendons down and cramps up the hands. Typing doesn't help any either.
