I am assuming that you would rather buy a Warn mount because it might be listed at a lower price.
Some sites state that their Warn mounts will not work with anything but the Warn winches. Really, I think it comes down to if the mounting holes will align with the winch holes. The mount is basically a flat platform for the winch to sit on. If the holes do not align then why not drill holes that will work.
CMP also makes a mount that should work.

Keep in mind that some mounts do not come with a roller fairlead. This may make the difference in cost. You might send for a lower costing mount and then have to buy a fairlead at an additional cost.

well the reason i am getting the warn is becasue i have an arctic cat 400 2004, and i already oredered one mounting plate made for the winch...but the guy at cabelas told me it would work..it was the one for the 99-02 models.....no thats i realised this i have sent it back and have been looking for a mounting plate for the 04 model..i could only find one place, and they said it would take till the end of august to recieve it!!! i need it a little sooner....if u know any sites that sell them please inform me...also i already have a fairlead that came with the winch...so that is no matter to me..thanx for your time though

You might try stopping in at a welding shop and see what it would cost to have one built. Most winch mounts I have seen were pretty simple and would be easy to build.

I bought mine from this guy on e-bay. He makes them himself and he is a great guy to deal with. He has a number listed on the listing if you want to talk with him first. He sells them for 20.00 and he had it to me in 4 days. They are of great quality and I would highly recomend them.
