Default Kenda Bearclaws.....how are they

My brother just bought a kawa 360 prairie 4x4 and he want something more aggressive than the stock tires. He likes my ITP 589's on my kawa 700 prairie, but he wants something a little smoother for hard pack, yet good in the mud. He is leaning towards the Kenda bearclaws. But I have a few questions about them first.

1. Are they 4 ply or 6 ply??? On the website, they say 4 ply, but in one of my dirtwheels mags, they say 6 ply.
2. How do they do in the mud??? Do they clean out good or pack up????
3. How do they ride on hard ground?????? bumpy or smooth?????

Thanks for the help.

smooth as hell..(center lug for all terrain)

however in mud they are good but they have a small tread depth which I'm not a big fan of. thats why I ended up going with the 26" mudlites.

Thanks for the input. My we are debating between the Kenda bearclaws and the gators now. What do you think of the gators compared to the bearclaws????

I have 27-12-12 Claws on mine and i ride in mainly mud with a few trails in between. They are not the best mud tire out there and i cant really say anything about the gators because i have never used a set. I Didnt like them when i first got them but after riding them a few times and learning how to use them in the mud I am impressed that they do as well as they do. They are a 4-ply tire and the selling point for me on these tires is its puncture resistance and tread life, They just seem to last forever. They Will pack up in mud unless you keep them spinning, then your fine. And as for the ride, Its very good, a little commanding on the steering though.
